University of Missouri Facilities, Planning & Design leaders will conduct a workshop on their Design/Build process. Learn from the perspective of one of the most important owners in the Midwest!

David Sheahen, P.E. - Mr. Sheahen is the Director of Facilities Planning & Development with the University of Missouri System. Mr. Sheahen is responsible for the management of major design projects and the capital budget for the University of Missouri System and serves as the University’s Building Code Authority Having Jurisdiction.

Robert A. Simmons, AIA, serves as Assistant Vice Chancellor – Facilities at the University of Missouri – Kansas City and oversees design, construction, maintenance and operations for about 4.4 million gross square feet of facilities on the 150 acres of campus. He came to UMKC in 2005 after ten years as the University of Architect for the University of Missouri System, where he oversaw the architect’s selection and design process for major projects on all four UM System campuses.
